Abstract:With the global climate change and the development of sustainability science, the adaptation research has gradually become a hot spot of concern of the international community. Farmers' adaptation provides a new perspective for the study of sustainable livelihoods. On the basis of the background of socialecological system reconstruction, from the viewpoint of farmers and through the construction of farmers' adaptation analysis framework, this paper explores the adaptive behavior of farmers in the Minqin Oasis and its internal and external influencing factors and interaction effects to clarify the mechanism of farmers' adaptation. The results as follows:1) The implementation of government policies led by the restoration of ecological governance and the adjustment of agricultural planting structure has reconstructed the rural social-ecological system, which promotes the change of farmers' livelihood adaptive strategies. 2) Farmers' livelihood adaptive behavior is mainly agricultural adjustment and passive adaptation behavior is seldom chosen. Migrant to work becomes the future livelihood trend. 3) Effective irrigation rate (water resources status) is the core factor of interaction effects among the external factors of the system, which influences the choice of farmers' livelihood adaptation. 4) The difference of the capital internal structure and reserve of farmers is the intrinsic motive force of the diversification of adaptive behavior.
